The West Seneca Police Department is always making the community smile with their social media posts, and this is just another example.

One of the newest police officers for West Seneca is still in his field training, and it’s a requirement, according to the West Seneca Police Department, to accept “all challenges from kids in parks.”

And Officer Clay did not disappoint.

The kids at Harlem Road Park saw Officer Clay in his police uniform and challenged him to ride one of their bikes on the new Bike Pump Track that just opened last October.

Officer Clay was up for the challenge.

“Officer Clay is still in field training and one of the requirements is accepting all challenges from kids in parks. One of the kids said it was pretty sick but Officer Clay said he felt fine after.”

Always room for another dad joke…haha!

You can see a closer look at the video below.

It’s unclear which bike Officer Clay borrowed for the challenge, but I think it’s safe to say that every kid at Harlem Road Park that day will never forget him.

One community member, Dorothy Perrelo-Bielinski,  commented on the original Facebook post, and she made a good point. She said, “Being approachable is half the battle. Thanks so much for being there for our kids. YOU make West Seneca a great place to live.

We couldn’t agree more.
