Top 5 Things To Do At Buffalo’s Outer Harbor
There is no shortage of things to do in Western New York.
So far this summer we've already seen a large number of great events, shows, and concerts.
So far we've seen the Italian Festival, Canalfest, and the Taste of Buffalo come through Buffalo. Plus great concerts like Tim McGraw, T-Pain, Ja Rule, New Kids On The Block, and Salt-n-Pepa.
There are all sorts of great places to check out in the Buffalo area as well. If you happen to find yourself near downtown Buffalo, you can always check out places like Canalside and Riverworks, or you can take a quick hop across the Buffalo River to the outer harbor section of Buffalo's waterfront.

The Buffalo Main Light
Built in 1833 and standing more than 60 feet tall, this lighthouse at the mouth of the Buffalo River is the longest continually standing structure in the city of Buffalo. You can walk right up to the lighthouse at the foot of Fuhrmann Boulevard.
Tifft Nature Preserve
Established in 1976, this 264-acre urban nature preserve is among the largest in New York state and features restored habitat and is a popular spot with five miles of nature trails, and three boardwalks that make it a great location for outdoor activities like birdwatching, walking, and hiking.
Seneca Casino's Outer Harbor Concert Series at the Lakeside Event Lawn
This outdoor concert venue has already seen quite a few great shows like T-Pain and Ja Rule, with several more coming up.
Wilkeson Pointe
This is a great 15-acre space on the Outer Harbor where you can sit along the water in, rent a bike or kayak, or just enjoy a drink or snack.
Gallagher Beach & Pier
Designed and developed in 1998, this formerly undeveloped tract of land features a non-swimming beach along Buffalo's waterfront and a pier that juts out about 150 feet into the lake. This is very popular for jet skiers and kayakers.
