Hosted by comedian Kevin Hart, BET’s annual awards showcase was held at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. The show was packed with mind-blowing performances by Kelly Rowland, Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Trey Songs and Rick Ross, just to name a few.

The American Society of Composer, Authors and Publishers will honor Diddy with the award, which is coveted as the society's “most prestigious” honor, given to songwriters and composers who have had a major impact on the music industry.
