There is a blood shortage in Western New York at Unyts...about 500 to be safe. With the decline in donations and the increase in trauma Unyts is the primary supplier of blood products to Kaleida Health, ECMC, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Eastern Niagara Health, Wyoming County Community Health System, Olean General Hospital, and Brooks-TLC Health System...

Unyts has announced that the area is in critical need of blood because of widespread illness an increased demand at local hospitals. They are asking people to consider donating blood this week at one of their blood drives.
