According to WIVB, SUNY Fredonia has a case of COVID-19. The student tested positive this week, there is an isolation process in place off-campus, and students that were exposed will be quarantined off-campus.

According to WIVB, Freshman Troy Lanski said,

It was bound to happen eventually, I was suprised that the virus was discovered so soon on campus.

I was as the campus on Friday, everyone I seen on campus was wearing a mask, and were social distance, for the most part. Like many parents, this was just a scary situation for us, it's hard to imagine your child being safe in today's current climate.

According to WIVB, the mayors of Dunkirk and Fredonia will be working with the school's Office of Student Conduct, to ensure that students are aware that the rules apply to students on and off-campus
