Western New York Bracing For Record Heat Today

Today a major warm front will bring some warmth to Western New York making today a record day.
The current High-temperature record for Buffalo for November 5th is 76 degrees. That was set back in 1948. Today the forecast is calling for a high temperature between 73 and 77 degrees. If we hit the high end of the predicted forecast, that would be a new record here in Western New York.
So will the record-like warmth stay with us here in Western New York after today? For the most part, it would be record-breaking but the predicted high temperatures are going to be above normal.
On both Sunday and Monday, we are looking at warmer than normal temperatures, but we could see some scattered rain showers that will be us cooler.
Tuesday is when we start trending back to more normal weather. The high on Tuesday is around 49 with the temperatures going up and down as the week goes on. Wednesday we are looking at 59 and Thursday at a high of only 60. Friday ushers in some rain and a cool down with a high of 57 and a low near freezing at 33. Temperatures will be in the 40s for next weekend.
The average daily high in the month of November in Western New York is around 50 degrees. So while it will cool down after our weekend heatwave, we will still be slightly above normal for this time of the year.
