NFL Free Agency Opens, McCoy a Bill; Graham, Ngata, Harvin, and Bradford On The Move
Earlier this afternoon the new NFL season officially began at 4pm as the Free Agency opened up. We were already expectant of the huge $40 Million deal for LeSean McCoy to get him on the roster, that deal was final as of today. McCoy inked the deal with his son in his hands and posted his excitement on his instagram page:
The trade sends former Bills LB Kiko Alonso to Philadelphia but it wasn't the biggest move of the day. The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms with the New Orleans Saints for Pro Bowl TE, Jimmy Graham, trading away their Pro Bowl Center, Max Unger and a pick.
Sources report that star Runningback Frank Gore has agreed to term with the Indiannapolis Colts as well, just 2 days after announces that he has no interest in remaining in San Francisco.
There was also a rumor surfacing that superstar corner back Darrelle Revis may end up in Bills uniform next year, those rumors will cease as he just agreed to terms returning to the New York Jets, where he has played once prior in his career. The Jets also made big moves after releasing Percy Harvin and make the trade for Brandon Marshall official with the Chicago Bears.
DT Haoli Ngata heads to Detroit for nearly $10 Million. St. Louis and Philadelphia agree to term sending Sam Bradford to Philly in return for Nick Foles.
The NFL is aware of the early deals and has said they are investigating things just to make sure no foul play was involved in getting these deals done early.
