The Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH) and Evergreen Health are teaming up to coordinate a two-day monkeypox vaccine clinic.  The clinic, which will be held on Wednesday, July 27th, and Thursday, July 28th, will help to vaccinate Erie County residents who are at the highest risk of monkeypox infection.

Erie County Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Gale Burstein said via a press release:

With a limited supply of monkeypox vaccine available, we are reserving these doses for residents at highest risk of infection...Additional monkeypox vaccine allocations from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) are expected in coming weeks.

The clinics will be held at Evergreen Commons, located at 67 Prospect Avenue in Buffalo.  In order to receive the Monkeypox vaccination, Erie County residents must meet current eligibility criteria set by New York State in order to register for an appointment.  You can see the criteria, and register for an appointment by CLICKING HERE.

If you plan on going to get your vaccination, please note that you DO NOT need to be Evergreen Health patients in order to receive vaccine. All attendees must be at least 18 years of age and are asked to bring a valid photo ID to your appointment. Face masks will be required.

The ECDOH notes that those eligible to receive the Monkeypox vaccination at the upcoming free clinic include:
