Mexican Minimum Wage Increasing to $4.70 per day
That's right, $4.70 per day.
Starting on December 1st, the Mexican Government has agreed to increase the wage from 80.04 pesos per day to 88.36 pesos per day. Given current exchange rates, that comes out to approximately $4.70 per day (or in American, full-time work terms, $0.5875 per hour).
Just compare that to the minimum wage here in Upstate NY of $9.70 per hour - wow what a difference. Could you imagine making such little money compared to the cost of living?
