Marsha Ambrosius Releases Touching Ballad ‘Run’
Marsha Ambrosius is on a roll. After releasing her fantastic Sade cover 'Stronger Than Pride' and 'FVCK&LOVE' EP, she's back with the heart-aching ballad 'Run.'
Over a somber piano groove, the R&B songbird displays a vulnerability that will tug on your heartstrings as she sings about a failed relationship.
"Run away from all the pain I feel now that you are gone / I’ve been so alone / So I run away and then you follow me out of the dark," she sings in the first verse.
On the chorus, Ambrosius vows to overcome her heartbreak and move on with her life. She sings, “Wanna stay, wanna leave / I’m so caught in between / Now I finally see, that you just weren’t the one for me."
The touching ballad 'Run' will reportedly appear on Ambrosius’ second album 'Friends & Lovers,' due this spring.
You can catch Marsha Ambrosius on tour this week. The ex-Floetry singer will hit Norfolk, Va., on Friday (April 4) and Atlanta on Sunday (April 6) and Monday (April 7). To check out her full itinerary, click here.
