Two Buffalo Sabres Get Into Fight At Practice
The 2024 NHL Season has gotten off to an interesting start for the hometown Buffalo Sabres. After starting the season in Europe and dropping two straight games to the New Jersey Devils, the Sabres came home to Buffalo 0-2 to start the season.
Things didn't improve much when the team hosted their home opener on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the KeyBank Center against the Los Angeles Kings. The team dropped that game 3-1, giving them their third straight loss to start the season. However, it's not all doom and gloom. The team grabbed their first victory of the year over the weekend when they bested the Panthers 5-2 on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in downtown Buffalo.
Now, with a record of 1-3 and sitting in last place in the Atlantic Division, the Sabres look ahead to playing the Penguins in Pittsburgh later this week.
As the team was preparing in practice and running drills to get ready, things got a little heated today on the ice as two Sabres had a collision that resulted in them dropping their gloves and going at it.
According to several posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, Sabres players Rasmus Dahlin and Peyton Krebs crashed into each other in the neutral zone, with Dahlin hitting Krebs low. That hit caused the two to get into a little kerfuffle on the ice.

The fight didn't last very long as the rest of the team jumped in quickly to break up the beef.
While we know things can get dicey on the ice, let's hope the team brings the same energy on the road this week. The Sabres' road trip will take them to Pittsburgh, Columbus, and Chicago.
