Keyshia Cole is going through a family crisis and she decided to share her story with her fans. Over the weekend, the R&B singer went on Twitter that she feared that she might lose her mother to the streets.

For those who don’t know, Keyshia has an estranged relationship with her mother, Frankie Lons, who has been suffering with drug addiction. It was well documented on the singer’s now-defunct BET reality series, Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is.

When Keyshia confronted her mother about sliding back into her old habits, the singer said her mom brushed her concerns off.

"I told my mother the other day I was afraid to lose her because she keeps going back to the streets. You kno what she said? In return?” Cole asked in a series of tweets (screen shots via Shade Room). “She said. ‘YOU’LL be aight.'”

“I was like. Wtf is that suppose to mean. Smh. I will NOT be ok if something happens to her. AT ALL! Not amount of money could replace,” she continued. “And I was crying when I said it. I get to think she feels no pain. Can’t imagine a mother sayin that to her child. Idk. Maybe I fully don’t understand her addiction. That s--- hurt tho.”

Several of her fans jumped on her timeline to offer their sympathy and support. Keyshia then tweeted that her mother doesn't understand how important she is to her.

"Maybe she doesn't [know] what she means to me... she's the best thing that ever happened to me," she tweeted. "Thank u guys for giving me good energy. Sometimes I really do ned u guys."

We wish Keyshia the best in trying to get her mother some help. Maybe she should reach out to Mario who went through the same situation with his mother, who sadly passed away last week.
