'N Sync was a multi-platinum boy band back in the late '90s. When they went on a "temporary hiatus" after their 2001 album, 'Celebrity,' many wondered who was going to be the first breakout solo success from the group. Well, we all know it was Justin Timberlake. Now, after the singer released the double platinum-selling 'The 20/20 Experience,' he's rumored to be reuniting with his former groupmates.

J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Timberlake are reportedly set to put on a special performance at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday (Aug. 25), the New York Post reports.

This will be the group's first televised performance since their Bee Gees medley at the 2003 Grammys.

Timberlake, who just concluded his Legends of the Summer tour with Jay Z, is tied with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis for the most award nominations. He'll be honored with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award at the awards ceremony.
