Personally, I think the 1980s were the best decade for comedies.

I didn't grow up in the '80s ('90s and 2000s for me), but having gone back and watched all those classics, I have appreciated them after the fact.

Ghostbusters, Stripes, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Trading Places, A Christmas Story, Beverly Hills Cop and so much more.

The NFL Network's Kyle Brandt has been hosting his very own podcast called Kyle Brandt's basement, which features a weekly segment with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Brandt gives Allen homework assignments on popular movies to watch, made before he was born (1997), and Josh grades them.

Brandt had a poll of which movie Allen should watch next and the winner was The Princess Bride from 1987.

The Princess Bride stars Mandy Patinkin, Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Fred Savage and Andre the Giant. It's an amazing movie that fits mostly in comedy but also within fantasy and romance. It's regarded as one of the best movies of the '80s.

Allen admitted that he didn't love it like most do and he actually fell asleep during the movie!

Josh gave the movie a "C" grade, which has many fans not happy.

I would have to think Josh has seen A Christmas Story, but if he hasn't, then he needs to watch that movie come December.

Also, The Princess Bride is great. Josh is wrong...
