Buffalo’s Josh Allen Receives Special Honors From The NFL

The fact that the Bills took a crushing defeat from the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football did take away from the accolades the team and various players are receiving from the league.

The Bills remain one of the top teams in the NFL with some top-notch players, and the NFL and some sports analysts have recognized that fact.

For the third time in his career, the NFL has named Josh Allen the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for September 2024.

In September, Allen scored nine touchdowns (7 passing and two rushing), passed for 814 yards, ran for 106 yards, achieved a passer rating of 116.5, and earned a touchdown/interception ratio of 7:0.

Those stats put him among the best in the NFL and tops among AFC quarterbacks.

This is Allen's third award. He was named AFC Player of the Week in September and December 2020.

...He's been very consistent in his performance on the field, consistent in his approach, consistent in his just willingness to take what the defense is giving him, and I think that's probably the biggest thing I've witnessed over the course of the first three games of the season. Season's young, and so I'm looking forward to how he's going to continue to do that… his maturation, his development has been fun to watch.

This is a tough accomplishment that takes a lot of hard work, and Allen again shows why he's one of the best players in the league today.
