Today, former Murder Inc. rap star Ja Rule will learn his fate when he is officially sentenced to prison for possessing a handgun back in July of 2007. Sources sayJa is scheduled to be sentenced after pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon in December of last year. The rapper will learn when he must surrend,er himself to authorities and begin serving his two years, which is bad timing as he prepares to release his new album The Renaissance Project. The charges stem from a July 2007 incident after a concert in New York. Police found a loaded handgun in the rear door of his Maybach. Last month 34 year Ja Rule, Ja, 34, said that his album The Renaissance Project, would be released before he starts his prison sentence. Ja Rule, bor"Damn, some of u act like 18 months is forever," Ja Rule, born Jeffrey Atkins, tweeted shortly after learning of his prison term, "It aint Hard to tell who the snitches are!!!…Renaissance Project will be dropping before I go in."
