1. Sign Up for Rover in New York State

Rover, the Internet's most popular pet-sitting app, is also the most well-known (and most labor-intensive) option on the list. Rover options range from quick gigs like dog walking to more time-consuming activities like pet sitting (at your house or the pet owner's house), and can be done on your schedule. Learn more here. 2. Become a Hipcamp Host in New York State

Hipcamp is an app and website similar to Airbnb, but instead of renting our your home, you can rent out space on your property to adventure-seekers looking for a campsite. The app boasts that New Yorkers have the opportunity to earn up to $4,207 per-month as Hipcamp hosts, and other than making sure the campsite is clean and welcoming, there is little work for hosts to do. 

3. Become a Sniffspot Host in New York State

Sniffspot may be the least-known option, but it may also be the most rewarding. Similar to Airbnb and Hipcamp, Sniffspot is another hosting platform... but for dogs. The app lets hosts rent their yard by the hour to dogs and their humans who either don't have a fenced in yard of their own or don't do well with other dogs at dog parks. Sniffspot says that top hosts can earn up to $3,000 per month.
