The Buffalo Bills travel to Northeast Florida to face the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 21st time since 1995 in a 2025/26 NFL Wild Card game that will determine who gets to move forward towards Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026, in Santa Clara, California, and who gets to go home and start their off-season early.

The Jags, who won the AFC South with a 13-4 record, are playing host to the Bills, who earned the 6th seed on a 12-5 record. Both teams are looking to prove they are something to be retconned with, and it starts here.

The Bills, who are making their seventh straight playoff appearance, have not had good luck on the road in the playoffs. The last time they won a road playoff game was in January 1993 when they beat the Miami Dolphins to go to Super Bowl XVII.

The game got off to a slow start for both teams as only three points were scored in the first quarter. Buffalo's Matt Prater kicked a 50-yard field goal to give the Bills a first-quarter lead.

After Jacksonville's Trevor Lawrence tossed an early second-quarter touchdown, Josh Allen followed up with a two-yard run to score his first rushing touchdown of the game, giving the Bills a 10-7 lead going into halftime.

The second half saw the Bills get the kickoff, but both teams turned up the defense with big hits. After trading field goals in the third quarter, Jacksonville was able to take an early fourth-quarter lead with Lawrence tossing a 6-yard pass to Parker Washington to make the score 13-17.

Jacksonville didn't stay ahead for too long as Josh Allen was able to lead the Bills down the field to cap off a big drive with a 15-yard scoring pass to Dalton Kincaid to give Buffalo the lead.

While the first half saw both teams slow to put points up on the scoreboard, that was not the case in the second half as Jacksonville was able to take the ensuing kickoff all the way down the field for a touchdown, which constituted the third touchdown and lead change in the fourth quarter.

As the fourth quarter was coming to a close, the Bills had 4th and 1, and the offense ran the Buffalo Snow Plus tush-push, which ended up in a big run that put the team on the 1-yard line. Buffalo then ran a second snowplow for Josh Allen to score a 1-yard touchdown, his second of the game.

Just as the Jaguars were getting ready to take the ensuing kickoff down the field, Cole Bishop was able to intercept a ball that got tipped by Tre'davious White and end the game for the Bills, giving them their first road playoff victory since 1993.

Now, the Bills look forward to the rest of Wild Card week to see who they will face in the Divisional Round.
