A new poll by ESPN is not telling Bills Mafia something we didn't already know, but it is showing the rest of the NFL that we were right the whole time. In a new poll by ESPN, Josh Allen was named the best quarterback in the NFL.

New ESPN Poll Chooses Josh Allen As Top QB In NFL

ESPN recently put out a new poll from NFL executives and scouts that named Josh Allen as the top quarterback in the NFL. Allen, who was #2 on the list last year, leapt over Patrick Mahomes to take the top spot this year.

Here is how ESPN ranked each quarterback.

Voters gave their own top 10 players at a position, then we compiled the results and ranked candidates based on the number of top-10 votes, composite average and dozens of interviews, with research and film study help from ESPN NFL analyst Matt Bowen as well as ESPN Research. More than 70 voters submitted a ballot on at least one position, and in many cases all positions. Additional voting and follow-up calls with those surveyed contributed to placements.

Allen, who won the NFL MVP in 2024, has been one of the top quarterbacks and players in the league since he was drafted by the Bills in 2018.

This season will be a little bit different for #17. It will be the first time he starts the season without Sean McDermott as his head coach. McDermott was fired this offseason, and Bills OC Joe Brady was elevated to the head coaching role.

Allen has played well with Brady as his OC, and the expectations are that he will continue.
