Buffalo Bills Resign Tre’Davious White
It seems that the front office at 10 Bills Drive is listening to the calls from fans and sports analysts around the league and is bringing in some additional staff to help the defensive secondary.
Just a day after starting Defensive Back CJ Gardner-Johnson was ejected from the game against the Las Vegas Raiders and suspended for an additional week as a league penalty, the Bills are bringing back a fan favorite player who was also a former first round pick by the team. This move is being thought of by many as a step towards helping the Buffalo defense, which ranks 31st against the pass, with some much needed depth and skill at cornerback and safety.
According to Adam Schefter, Tre'Davious White has been signed to the Bills practice squad, which is a move that many teams make before promoting a player to the active 53-man roster. Schefter reports that White's agents Kevin Conner and Robert Brown have both confirmed the signing, which was later confirmed by the team on X.

White has a long and storied history with the Bills, spending most of his career in Buffalo after being selected in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. White spent 7 years in Buffalo before spending time with both Baltimore and the Los Angeles Rams in 2024, before coming back to the Bills in 2025.
Over his career, White has nearly 400 tackles, with 19 interceptions and 5 forced fumbles.
While White did not sign a contract with the team at the beginning of the season, he's maintained close ties to the Buffalo region and remains a fan favorite. A quick social media search will show a lot of love being given in response to the news that Tre is back in the Bills' blue & red.
The Bills are looking forward to the bye-week, which will give them the chance to get White back into the swing of things and also allow some banged up players to heal and rest.
