Lake Effect Snow Expected Across Western New York
The warm weather across Western New York could lead to some trouble when it comes to lake-effect snow.

Because of the above-average temperatures over the past couple of weeks here in Western New York, the temperatures of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario have remained above freezing and that could be an issue when it comes to lake effect snow.
Looking ahead to the weekend, it looks like the area in the "Snow Belts" in Western New York could get a couple of inches of snow with some spots getting a half or foot or more.
The good news is that this lake-effect snow won't be anywhere close to the massive storm that hit Western New York just before Thanksgiving. According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, snow was falling at around 6 inches per hour.
