As of midnight this morning the driving ban that was in place in the City of Buffalo has been lifted.

The ban has been replaced with a travel advisory which means that you should only be out on the roads if you need to be.

New York State Governor Kathy Hocucl also announced that all major highways in Western New York like the 33, the 198, and the 90 have been reopened as well to travelers.

The driving bans were put into place during the blizzard over the weekend and were there to help let snow removal crews have easier access to the roads to clear the snow.

The snow removal process is still happening in parts of Western New York so just make sure that if you are out on the roads you are paying attention to lane shifts, one-lane roads, and snow removal equipment that is still working.
