Where To Get The Best Paczkis In Western New York
Today is the day many people in Western New York will be celebrating. Today is the day before Lent, aka Fat Tuesday, aka Paczkis Day. Here in the 716, some people will be looking for a baby in the king cake, while most people will celebrate today with a special Polish donut.
What Is A Paczkis?
A Paczki, pronounced Poonch-Key, is a Polish donut that is stuffed with jelly. They became a way for Polish people to use up all their sugar, butter, and other "treats" before the start of Lent. Of course, nowadays, today is the day to indulge and grab some ready-made paczkis from area bakeries.
