You Won’t Believe This Weird Thing I Saw At Western New York School
Buffalo and Western New York is a pretty interesting place to live, work, and play. There are all sorts of great things that you can find to do. Not only are there numerous great adult activities throughout the region, but we also have a wealth of excellent businesses, neighborhoods, and schools.
When it comes to the schools, from pre-schools to institutions of higher education, Western New York is the place to be. I know that for a fact, having been connected to schools at all levels throughout the region, as a student, mentor, almost-teacher, and as a parent.
Being a parent of a teenager who is heavily into sports means that I often get to travel all over the 716 and 585 for the latest soccer, basketball, baseball, or lacrosse game.
You Won't Believe This Weird Thing I Saw At Western New York School
Recently, these travels took me, my son, and his lacrosse team to Lancaster for a game on the fields behind Lancaster Middle School on Aurora Street near Broadway.
When walking from the parking lot to the fields, I came across something lying on the ground next to the school that had many of us parents scratching their heads.
It's not often that you find a dead, headless fish lying on the ground. Now, there is likely a very reasonable explanation for this weird find.
Lancaster Middle School abuts right up to Cayuga Creek and is just across the water from Como Lake Park, which is full of fish, especially this time of year. So, perhaps a fisherman (or fisherwoman, or fisherperson) dropped the fish when coming away from fishing, or maybe a bird grabbed the fish from the water and couldn't hold on to it as it tried to fly away.
In any case, all of this has me wondering, what are some weird things you've found at or near your kid's school? Send me what you've discovered on X at @DJEdNice.
