UTZ recalled thousands of Potato Chips

Before you sit down to snack tonight, double-check those potato chips. There has been a massive recall due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Massive Potato Chip Recall In New York State

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that Utz Quality Foods has issued a voluntary recall for certain varieties of potato chips sold in retail stores nationwide, including in New York State.

The recall was issued due to possible Salmonella contamination with the chips. Here is a list of the potato chips impacted by the recall according to the USDA.

UTZ Recalls Several Products for Risk of Salmonella

Utz issued a voluntary recall in the United States May 5, of certain limited varieties of Zapp’s® and Dirty® potato chips. This voluntary recall follows notification to Utz that a seasoning containing dry milk powder, sourced from California Dairies, Inc. and supplied by a third-party supplier, may contain the presence of Salmonella.
