Three Buffalo Bills Not Named Josh Allen Who Had A Massive Impact Week 1

We always hear about Josh Allen's play the day after the game. Rightfully so, the way he plays has a huge impact on the game. But there were a bunch of players who stepped up to make a difference yesterday for the Buffalo Bills in Week 1, too.

The impact of Josh Allen has been well-documented

We could go on and on every week about the impact that Josh Allen had on a game. (As a matter of fact, I did. You can find that article here.)  But what about the players that help raise him up? Last season, national commentator Nick Wright brought up the fact that Bills fans and some members of the media like to pretend that Josh Allen is the only person on the Bills. I hate admitting when Nick Wright is right, but in this case, he is. Allen has a very capable supporting staff.

Here are three players who had a HUGE impact on the game yesterday in Houston that are NOT named Josh Allen:

1. Dalton Kincaid - On week 1, he showed why the Bills drafted him in the first round of the 2023 draft. He's been injured a lot over the last couple of years, and it was nice to see him have a huge game. He ended up with over 130 yards on just 5 catches against the Texans. He was a matchup nightmare.

2. Greg Rousseau - Right off the bat, he showed how much he's been working during the offseason by getting a strip/sack on CJ Stroud in the first quarter. Then in the fourth quarter he went and did it again to help seal the game. He had a massive impact on that game.

3. DJ Moore - One of the newest members of the Buffalo Bills had a huge impact. Not only was he able to rack up 100 yards receiving on 5 catches, but he had a big touchdown right before the half that helped give the Bills some much-needed breathing room (albeit not for long). Plus, just having him on the field helped to open things up for other guys like Khalil Shakir and Joshua Palmer. By having to account for Moore, those other guys were able to be open at key moments in the game.

The Bills will need another big effort out of every one of their players again on Thursday as they try to heal up from the Texans and get ready for the Lions. They're going to be taking on the Bills this Thursday for their home opener at the new Highmark Stadium after an overtime win over the Saints.
