The first training camp practice at St. John Fisher University has wrapped up for the Buffalo Bills.

The good news is that no injuries took place after day one, which is always the number one goal in regards to practices.

Some of the intriguing position battles that the media and fans got to see were at middle linebacker (Tyrel Dodson, Dorian Williams) and right guard (Ryan Bates, O'Cyrus Torrence). As of now, Dodson and Bates are the leaders to win the job, but the rookies are expected to make a big push to start by week 1.

The big thing the media and fans were waiting for, however, happened after practice.

For the first time since late in the 2022 regular season, we heard from Bills star wide receiver Stefon Diggs. We know what happened at the end of the playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, as Diggs was visibly upset on the sideline, and then left the locker room before media members had a chance to ask questions.

Then Diggs left the first day of minicamp back on June 13th, which was later explained as an excused absence from head coach Sean McDermott. Diggs returned for day two of minicamp practice.

One of the first questions asked of Diggs was what happened at minicamp back in June, and Diggs explained that "family matters," and that he will keep those conversations "in-house." He says that it's all water under the bridge now.

Diggs did explain that he was frustrated with how last season ended, as everyone was. He says he has more football behind him than in front of him, being nine years into his career. He wants to win a Super Bowl.
