Steelers-Bills Wild Card Playoff Game to Be Impacted by Weather
The Buffalo Bills are preparing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who they will host in the AFC wild card round this Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is at 1 pm.
The game is the 2-7 seeding matchup, which will be the first meeting in the regular season or playoffs between the two teams since the 2021 opener.
The Bills are coming off a huge week 18 win at the Miami Dolphins, which clinched the AFC East title and forces the Dolphins to travel to Kansas City, where the forecasted low on Saturday night is 0 degrees...
But the Bills and Steelers will be dealing with their own weather troubles at Highmark Stadium this Sunday afternoon.
There's yet another weather system coming in by the weekend, which will bring snow and wind to Western New York by Saturday. It will also bring colder temperatures and big time wind to Orchard Park.
As of Monday afternoon, The Weather Channel is forecasting snow for Orchard Park, but the winds will be a problem as well, with 15-25 mph and gusting even more by kickoff.
The system that is rolling through still has some uncertainty. The snow could be rather heavy but also light by Sunday. It's still too far out to know for sure.
The Bills rely on Josh Allen and the passing game, but this could be one where the Bills have to rely more on the running game in order to beat the Steelers, who have been struggling to pass the ball consistently this season.
If you're going to the game, bundle up and prepare for snow and high wind gusts.
