Spooky season is back in Western New York, and there are so many fun things to do. From making an annual trip to the Great Pumpkin Farm to meeting up with a group of friends at FrightWorld on Hertel Avenue, there are so many rituals for the spooky season that you have to participate in. It’s basically a requirement!

One of the best things about the spooky season is the marathon of scary movies you can watch. There are so many great horror films that you can watch, but there’s always that one film that does a number on you. In fact, it can even leave a bit of an emotional scar.

Recently, we shared a Facebook post that asked Western New Yorkers to share the movies that were the “most traumatizing” to watch, and the answers did not disappoint!

Take a look at the Top 10 Most Traumatizing Movies below!

One movie that did not make the list was one that absolutely shook me up (granted I watched it at 8 years old and I shouldn’t have). The scariest movie I have ever seen was “Clown At Midnight,” and you can take a look at the trailer below.

What scary movie traumatized you as a kid?

EXTRA: Another big thing that people look forward to in the fall is the Ellicottville Fall Festival, which returns this upcoming weekend! The festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12 and Sunday, Oct. 13 from 10 AM - 5 PM, and there will certainly be some cool spooky decorations that you can get there from local vendors!
