The Buffalo Sabres' playoff chances are dwindling as the days go by.

They have won two of the past three games, but they remain 10 points out of a playoff spot and only 28 games are remaining. Money Puck has the Sabres playoff odds at just 4 percent, which means they will in all likelihood miss the postseason for a 13th straight year. That's tied with the New York Jets for the longest playoff droughts in the four major North American sports.

The Sabres' last loss was this past Thursday night; a 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Florida Panthers.

Buffalo outshot Florida, tallying 45 shots, but none were able to beat Panther goaltender Anthony Stolarz.

At least one Panthers player was able to find time while in Buffalo to visit a famous chicken wing restaurant, despite the fact the Panthers played the night before in Pittsburgh.

Panthers forward Ryan Lomberg stopped by Wingnutz, which was presumably after Florida shut out Buffalo at KeyBank Center (or the next day).

Many Bills players have visited Wingnutz, along with quite a few UB athletes, since the new location on Millersport in Amherst is a stone's throw away from the Northtown campus.

Wingnutz has three total locations: takeout only on Niagara Falls Blvd. in Amherst, Froth Brewing on Military in North Buffalo, and the Millersport location in Amherst (formerly Santora's).

I have a feeling that more professional athletes will be visiting Wingnutz, along with other famous wing places across Western New York like Bar-Bill, Elmos, and Duff's.
