The Micah Hyde Charity Softball game has been one of Buffalo's favorite events to attend over the last couple of years. Unfortunately, he announced that he will not be able to host it again this year. But that doesn't mean it won't continue.

Micah Hyde will not be hosting his annual charity softball game this year

For years, former Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde and his wife Amanda have been holding a softball game at Sahlen Field in Buffalo. The game would involve current and former players coming back to Buffalo in the offseason to raise some money for his charity (Imagine For Youth Foundation) and show what they've got on the baseball field. They would play some games, hold a home run derby, and an actual offense vs. defense game.

Unfortunately, due to a legal issue, he will not be hosting the game again this year.

He cites "legal complications involving a previous third-party partnership that helped them execute this event" as the reason why they will not be able to be there. They add that they refuse to give you anything less than an unforgettable experience and will not take a single dollar away from the charities that the event was originally buitl to support.

It doesn't mean the charity softball event will not continue

They closed the letter by saying that even though Micah and Amanda will not be able to host this year's game, current Buffalo Bills' edge rusher Greg Rousseau will be taking the baton to continue the tradition.

They did not say anything more in the letter about when it will take place, but it appears as though the game will be moving to Rochester. The Red Wings posted this today:

Tickets will go live on Friday at the link provided above.
