Josh Allen Hugs Tyler Bass After Last Night’s Loss
The Buffalo Bills season is officially over after a 27-24 loss to their biggest non-divisional rival, the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Bills had a game plan of running the ball and controlling clock, which was working in the first half. They were missing key linebackers and wide receiver Gabe Davis, so less possessions for Patrick Mahomes.
Unfortunately, the defense did struggle and the Bills lost another heartbreaker.
Josh Allen played another great game in a losing effort. He didn’t make a bad read all night and was dialed in. He rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another.
The last drive of the game, however, featured decisions Bills fans are second guessing. One was Allen electing to go for the touchdown to Khalil Shakir, instead of a short crosser to Stefon Diggs.
That pass was there but Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones knocked Dion Dawkins into Allen as he threw.
The Chiefs forced the Bills into a 4th and 9. Tyler Bass then missed a 44-yard field goal to tie the game. Chiefs got a first down and ended the game.
After the game, Allen hugged Tyler Bass as they walked off the field.
For the Bills, they are now in off-season mode. They are in trouble with the salary cap. Josh Allen’s cap hit goes way up and they have many pending free agents.
We might have seen the last game in a Bills uniform for players such as Micah Hyde, Mitch Morse, Gabe Davis, Taylor Rapp and Leonard Floyd.
The Bills need help at wide receiver. That was evident last night and much of the season. You have a superstar quarterback. Make sure the weapons around him are as good as possible. Diggs will be 31 this year and Davis likely hits free agency. They desperately need help at outside receiver.
