The Buffalo Bills host the Pittsburgh Steelers at Highmark Stadium this Sunday at 1 pm. It will be the third playoff game played for the NFL’s Super Wild Card round.

The game will be played in adverse weather conditions. Wind gusts of 45 mph will be in Orchard Park on Sunday afternoon, with heavy lake effect snow possible. It’s now known it will snow to some degree during the game, but how much? That’s the question. It could be bad.

The Steelers won’t have their best player. Star edge rusher T.J. Watt was ruled out with a grade 2 sprained MCL. It’s a huge loss for the Steelers.

However, the Bills are also going to not have key players for the game.

The Bills have ruled out both wide receiver Gabe Davis and safety Taylor Rapp.

Davis with a sprained PCL and Rapp with a strained calf.

Davis’ absence means that players like Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox, Khalil Shakir and Trent Sherfield will be called upon to step up in the passing game.

Davis hasn’t been contributing much in the way of pass catching but he does force coverage deep with routes and is a good blocker.

Cornerback Rasul Douglas and linebacker Tyrel Dodson haven’t been ruled out yet, which is mildly surprising. It gives fans hope they will be ready to play by Sunday morning.

If that lake effect snow band is over the stadium for some or all of the game, the Bills will have to run the ball. James Cook, Leonard Fournette and Ty Johnson will be called upon, although Johnson hasn’t yet cleared concussion protocol.

Bills fans can expect Fournette to be active and wide receiver Andy Isabella should be elevated to the 53-man roster for Sunday’s game.
