The Buffalo Bisons Are Giving Away Free Hot Dogs For 7-1-6 Day

This Thursday is 7-1-6 Day and the Buffalo Bisons are going to celebrate in one of the most Buffalo ways. They're giving away free Sahlen's hot dogs!

What is 716 Day?

In Buffalo, we celebrate July 16th because the number date (7/16) is also the area code for most of Western New York. 716 is the number you call if you're trying to reach someone here on the phone. A lot of businesses will be offering deals all day long on just about everything from food to entertainment.

The Buffalo Bisons are giving away free hot dogs

On 716 Day this year, the Buffalo Bisons are going to be giving away a free Sahlen's hot dog to the first 716 fans that stop in. They'll be offering discounted dogs to people who want additional hot dogs that day for just $2. That money will go toward the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation.

There will also be a Home Run Challenge

Unfortunately, there isn't a game at Sahlen Field that week. They're headed to Syracuse on Friday. But that means the field is open and they're hoping that you'll step up to the plate for a great cause. Think you've got what it takes to smash one past the fence? The Bisons are inviting you to step up to the plate and give it your best. They're going to offer you 7 swings from the batter's box for a $16 donation to the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation.

It's free to get in from 11am - 7pm on that day.
