DeAndre Hopkins to Buffalo Rumors Are Heating Up
When it comes to the NFL off-season, social media plays a huge factor in fan excitement.
Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok can spread news, reports, suggestions and speculation, which fuels rumors and fan interest in free agency, trades and the NFL Draft.
That has certainly been the case over the last 10 days and especially over the last 12-15 hours -- more specifically, DeAndre Hopkins to the Buffalo Bills rumors.
On Wednesday morning, Daniel Jeremiah of The NFL Network said that he thinks the Bills make the most sense for the best landing spot for Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
The Cardinals have reportedly shopped Hopkins and with a new general manager and head coach, it appears they're ready to move on from the 30-year-old veteran wide receiver.
On Thursday evening, Hopkins posted on lyrics to a Bob Marley song on his Instagram story, which just so happens to reference Buffalo in its lyrics.
Hopkins also followed Bills stars on Instagram, such as Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs and Von Miller. In what is a bigger reach in connections, Hopkins posted a video of him drinking OJ...
This also comes on the heels of Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver posting on his Instagram story of him sacking NFC North quarterbacks with a caption reading "enjoyed myself," which had fans wondering if a trade was imminent?
Hopkins will in all likelihood be traded. Money would have to be worked out -- how much salary do the Cardinals retain and if there's a restructure, but it feels like it's a matter of "when," and not "if" he will be traded.
Will Hopkins go to the Bills?
I would rather have a wide receiver in the first round, because of price, age and the fact you get that fifth year option in the rookie contract, but Hopkins would allow the Bills to be explosive in 2023 and prevent defenses from doubling Stefon Diggs.
