The Bills have seen a shuffle of numbers this year.  Now that they've added two new players, what numbers will they be wearing?

We are six games into the season now but if you've been watching the Bills for the last couple of years, you might have still found yourself needing to pull out a roster every now and then as you watch the game to know who the heck just made a play.

Players like Isaiah McKenzie, Taron Johnson, and Jaquan Johnson are all wearing new numbers.  Some of the numbers that you've been accustomed to seeing are now being worn by new players too.  Numbers like 99 that were immediately recognizable as Harrison Phillips are now being worn by Tim Settle.

Soon we're going to have a couple of new names to associate numbers with.  Zack Moss is no longer a Buffalo Bill.  He was traded to the Indianapolis Colts for their former running back Nyheim Hines. Hines will take Moss' old number when he gets here.  For the Colts he wore #21 but he will be sporting a #20 jersey here in Buffalo.

The other addition yesterday at the trade deadline was the reacquisition of safety Dean Marlowe.  He was with the Bills for a couple of years before going to Detroit and Atlanta.  They've brought him back as a literal safety and a metaphorical safety after the loss of Micah Hyde.  The good news is, if you remember his number before, it's the same as when he left.  He will be wearing #31.

Both trades were made, almost in dramatic fashion, at the last minute of the trade deadline.  There were a record-setting 10 trades made at the deadline and the Bills made two of them.
