Hamburg Native Released By Patriots
Preseason football is underway and the Buffalo Bills will square off in their first preseason game this Friday night!
All eyes are focused on Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills here in western New York but there is another name making some news in the NFL these days.
The New England Patriots have announced they released backup quarterback Jake Delegala.
Jake is a former player here in Western New York and also played for the Cincinnati Bengals before moving onto New England. The quarterback position is obviously the most competitive and most sought after for any team to have an elite player in that position. While Jake will no longer be with the New England Patriots his abilities could lead him to yet another NFL team as a third or fourth quarterback option.
The Buffalo Bills will open the regular season against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Orchard Park the September and the hype surrounding the team is incredible! Just about everybody has been talking about Josh Allen and his new contract. But Josh Allen has adapted to western New York so well that you would not know he was originally born in California. Josh Allen IS Buffalo and has not only become a household name he IS family to just about any Buffalo Bills fan!
Best of luck to Jake on his next endeavors whether it’s in football or otherwise , it’s always great to see Western New Yorkers go on to do such amazing things to even be considered to a team like the New England Patriots is an incredible feat in itself.
