Fire Weather Watch for Buffalo and Surrounding Area

The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning this afternoon for THE NIAGARA FRONTIER, GENESEE VALLEYand THE  FINGER LAKES REGION until 6pm tonight.

Living in Burbank California for several years, I know how WILD Forest fires can really get. Here on the East Coast, we also have to be aware of weather conditions that could lead to spontaneous fires.

Just to clarify, a Red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low humidity and warm temperatures create EXPLOSIVE fire growth potential.
