There was a fire that ripped through a house over the weekend in the Town of Colden and left a family needing your help.

According to the GoFundMe page that has been set up, there is a need for physical items as well as monetary.

Hello my name is Jared. Early Saturday morning April 2nd, my parents home of 40 years burned completely down. They unfortunately lost everything they own, along with one of our families dogs, as well as three ferrets. This is a devastating event for them. They are working with insurance, which is a process. Any help is greatly appreciated. My 4 year old nephew, as well as my sister, who also lived in the house, lost everything they own as well.

Amy Lee, who just arrived home as the fire was raging posted this on her Facebook page:

Two police officers were injured I don’t know the state trooper who was hurt but I do know the sheriff deputy Aaron Ellis who had a severe sprain on his ankle and he is the one who got my golden out. I will be forever grateful to him for that. My family is devastated but we are so thankful for everyone that was there hat night and all of our incredible family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers that have helped so far.
