Drake and Future Sued for $25 Million by Woman Who Claims She Was Raped at Their Concert
Drake and Future have been hit with a huge $25 million lawsuit by a woman who claims she was raped by someone associated with the venue they performed at during a show back in August.
According to TMZ, the woman attended the Summer 16 Tour stop in Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Aug. 14, and claims she was invited backstage to meet the rappers by a venue employee. The woman alleges the man then flipped the script, violently attacking and raping her.
The man, identified as Levy Johnson, 38, was arrested earlier this year in Florida and charged with rape, reports the Tennessean. At the time of the attack, Johnson had outstanding warrants for assault. The victim is arguing that the What a Time to be Alive duo, the arena and other parties should have known that Johnson was a risk and need to be held accountable. Now she's asking for a big chunk of change.
In music-related news, Drizzy recently announced that he is already working on the follow up to More Life. “I’m about to go back to making this new album in Toronto just for you,” Drizzy said to the crowd in front of Toronto’s Budweiser stage earlier this week while closing out the 2017 OVO Fest. “I’ll see you next year, we’ll be bigger, we’ll be better. I go by the name of Drake, this a OVO Sound ting for life.”
He also teased a possible collab project with The Weeknd.
Future recently received some good news, as his self-titled album officially reached platinum status earlier this week.
