Currensy Delivers New Song “Old Range”
It's been a few months since Curren$y dropped his Champagne Files project, but the New Orleans rapper is back with new music, releasing his latest song, "Old Range."
Rapping over a beat produced by Monsta Beatz, Curren$y spits, "I got some other shit in mind for my little guy/Showed him how to use his mind, accelerate his grind/Maximize his shine, in due time, follow these guidelines/Don't snip or you'll be ultimately penalized."
Spitta's bars shine over the producer's beat as he raps over a frantic bassline, "Picking up new money in the old range/Feeling like new money in the old range/Looking like new money in the old range/Chasing that new money in the old range."
Aside from dropping The Champagne Files in July, Curren$y also linked up with producer Lex Luger in September to drop The Motivational Speech EP. The six-track project features the songs "Pressure" and "Lavendar" and includes a guest appearance from OJ Da Juiceman.
Earlier this year, the rapper also teamed up with Reebok to release the Reebok Club C 85 Jet Life sneaker. Inspired by one of Curren$y's favorite plants, the Club C 85 features a primal green suede upper with white on the midsole and gum on the outsole. The side of the sneaker includes the Jet Life and Reebook logo, and to round out the weed theme, a special iridescent green box was produced.
