The $2.5 billion rover known as "Curiosity" landed last night (8/5) to begin it's 2 yr exploration of the Red Planet.

In the event that Mother Earth gets fed up with all of our BS  pollution and evicts us from the Planet, it's nice to know NASA has the ability to safely land a car-sized object another Planet.
