Ulmer, who played college football at Marshall, signed a three-year deal with the Bills worth about $2.5 million dollars as a free agent after he went undrafted in the 2022 NFL draft this past April.

The Bills announced his release on June 8th and on social media Ulmer said that it was time to hang up his cleats and call it a career.

Ulmer thanked the Buffalo Bills coaches and those who have supported him but after he reached the NFL he realized that there is more to life than playing football.

Ulmer originally tried out with the Kansas City Chiefs after the draft but wasn't offered a contract after their rookie mini-camp. he worked out with the Bills and signed his deal after just two days with the team.

Ulmer had played 57 games in college and was expected to push some of the veterans on the Bills' offensive line this training camp.

The Bills will have a mandatory mini-camp coming up next week for all players and then will kick off their official training camp in July. This year's training camp will be back in Rochester on the campus of St. John Fisher college.

The Bills have held their training camp for the past two seasons in Orchard Park due to COVID-19 restrictions.
