Buffalo Area Snowfall Totals from January 17th Snowstorm
The snowstorm that blew into western New York on Monday, January 17, 2022, left its mark all across the region and caught many by surprise by how it impacted the area.
From broken snowfall records to closed schools and businesses, the storm made its impact known and left dozens of snow-clogged streets in its aftermath. Some parts of the city of Buffalo were hit especially hard as it took several days for streets to be plowed and for schools to be able to open for in-person classes.
While most roads in western New York have been plowed, things are still pretty rough for some in Buffalo, especially if you're looking for somewhere to park.
