Entrepreneurship requires leadership skills, personal ambition, continuous learning, networking, and so much more.

As a business incubator and coworking space specifically serving BIPOC and underrepresented entrepreneurs and business owners, The Exchange at Beverly Gray celebrates and fosters those skills, and this year, their Black Business Month Celebration is bigger with more events:

1) NEW: "Bold Moves Only" Day Conference: This inaugural day-long conference on Saturday, Aug. 2, has workshops for both adult entrepreneurs and youth ages 8-16. Adults will tackle topics such as branding, startup funding, business grants, and more, while the youth will design a product, build a brand, and pitch their ideas all within a matter of hours. (Register by Wednesday, July 30 at theexchangeatbeverlygray.org/event.)

2) NEW: "Bold Moves Only" Evening Celebration: Enjoy a keynote speech by Fawn Weaver, CEO and Founder of Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey, a rapidly-growing Black-owned spirit brand. The event also includes food, music, vendors, fireside chats, and networking. (Register by 11:59 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1 at theexchangeatbeverlygray.org/event.)

3) Business Expert Speaker Series: Various topics on Wednesdays throughout the month (Aug. 6, Aug. 13, and Aug. 20). The session on Aug. 13, for example, features The Business of Mental Health, a panel discussion for small business owners looking to learn how to balance the demand of entrepreneurship with health & wellness. (Learn more and RSVP at theexchangeatbeverlygray.org/event.)

4) Pull Up & Pitch Contest at Beau Fleuve: The contest will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, at 495 Paderewski Drive, Buffalo, in partnership with the legendary Beau Fleuve Music & Arts Festival. Support Buffalo entrepreneurs while immersing yourself in a weekend of music, food, art vendors, and more. (Learn more and RSVP at theexchangeatbeverlygray.org/event.)

5) Black Business Month Block Party Finale: Food trucks, vendor fair, activities, and everything else you expect from a block party from 2-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27. (Learn more and RSVP at theexchangeatbeverlygray.org/event.)
