Ask Your Tattoo Artist This Before You Start

If you thinking about getting tatted up this week or somethime soon you might want to know that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration wants you to ask your tattoo artist or studio about what inks they'll be using.

The FDA has recalled six inks because they're contaminated with bacteria which means you could get infected or injured if they're used on you. Make sure to check and also be careful. The links are below.

The recalled inks include:

• Scalpaink SC , Scalpaink PA , and Scalpaink AL basic black tattoo inks manufactured by Scalp Aesthetics (all lots)
• Dynamic Color - Black tattoo ink manufactured by Dynamic Color Inc (lots 12024090 and 12026090 )
• Solid Ink- Diablo (red) tattoo ink manufactured by Color Art Inc. (dba Solid Ink) (dba Antone's Ink) (lot 10.19.18)
