This past Monday came the news many people had been waiting for in New York State. Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the state would adopt the new CDC guidelines that say fully vaccinated people no longer have to wear masks in most public settings and no social distancing in most public outdoor settings.

Many stores across the country have dropped its mask mandates for vaccinated shoppers and that includes popular stores in Western New York, as of this Wednesday, when the new adoption of CDC guidelines took effect in New York.

I was in a local grocery store on Wednesday and it was definitely different. Probably 70 percent of shoppers had their masks on, but there were plenty who didn't. I think that number will be going up over the coming days and weeks, as we push into summer.
