Now that we're fully past thanksgiving and the holiday season is in full swing, it's well beyond the time we get ready for one of the most popular holidays: Christmas time. That, of course, means gift giving, going to holiday markets, finding all of the great shopping deals that have come about since Black Friday, home decorating, and Christmas tree shopping.

This then brings up the constant debate that happens in households all over Western New York: should we get an artificial tree or a real tree?

If you are an artificial tree type person, you can find one of those anywhere: places like Walmart, Target,  Christmas Tree Shops, Home Depot, At Home, and tons of other places. They're so common that you may even see them in Wilson Farms or your local corner store.

There might actually be a good reason to grab an artificial tree this year, especially because Christmas tree prices have increased significantly over the last couple of years. You could be paying at least 30% more this year than in 2020 or 2021.
