While the Bills season is over and the ball club is getting a make-over, defensive end Shawne Merriman is taking it off and taking on a new role as the Spokesperson for PETA in the 2013 "Ink not Mink" campaign. Peek the pics and pecs inside. (Try saying that 3 times fast)

Photographer Tyler Jason says he took these pics before the NFL 2011 Season and PETA bought them for this years campaign. Personally I think they did him an injustice by not snapping photos of him in his current physique!

Either way, it's all about the message: "Ink Not Mink!"

PETA and Merriman want consumers to know that every year, millions of foxes, minks, and rabbits—and even cats and dogs—are beaten, electrocuted, and strangled for their pelts. Many are skinned alive. For every piece of fur—whether it’s a full-length coat or a bit of trim on a collar or cuff—animals suffered immensely.

Bills #54 joins a growing list of athletes—including Terrell Suggs, Willis McGahee, Chris Andersen, Chad Ochocinco, Amar’e Stoudemire, Tony Gonzalez, Aaron Curry, “Sugar” Shane Mosley, and Tito Ortiz—who have teamed up with PETA to promote kindness toward animals.
