According to WKBW News, and FOX News ' President Donald Trump has been nominated to receive the Nobel Peace Prize by Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament.  The WKBW report reveals that Christian Tybring-Gjedde is a far right-wing Norweigian lawmaker.

The nomination of President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize and Trump's insinuation that he should receive it epitomizes irony, in my opinion.  President Donald Trump has done ZERO to promote 'peace' within the term of his Presidency; as a matter of fact, he's done quite the opposite.

According to brookings.edu, since Donald Trump's presidency,

there has been an anomalous spike in hate crimes concentrated in counties where Trump won by larger margins.  It was the second-largest uptick in hate crimes in the 25 years for which data are available, second only to the spike after September 11, 2001.

We can also reference Trump's racist comments about Mexicans, or his comments about the NFL Players (predominantly Black) who knelt during the Colin Kaepernick kneeling era, calling them "Sons of Bitches".  Colin Kaepernick, by the way, is African-American for those who did not know.  Brookings.com also added that,

in another study, 'based on data collected by the Anti-Defamation League, shows that counties that hosted a Trump campaign rally in 2016 saw hate crime rates more than double compared to similar counties that did not host a rally.'

Not everyone will agree with brookings.com's assessment of or association between, President Donald Trump and Hate / Violence, but there may be a larger entity of people who do agree as we head into a Presidential Election on November 3.

President Trump commented on the Nobel Peace Prize in this video (WKBW):

Personally I think the nomination of President Donald Trump is a ridiculous assertion (again this is my opinion).

Only 4 United States presidents have received the Nobel Peace Prize.  Here's a gallery of pictures and explanations of each president winning this distinguished award.  Notably, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. also won the award, in 1964.
